GM Offering 7 Years 0% Financing or Up to $7,000 Cash Back on 2008 Vehicles

GM is offering a sweet financing deal or some good cash back to clear out their 2008 models.

GM is back to offering incentives with its 72 Hour Sale and if you are in the car market you can benefit. The company is aggressively trying to clear out its 2008 models by offering 7 years of 0% financing or up to $7,000 cash back depending on the vehicle.

Rising gas prices and a slowing economy have reduced demand for cars and the Big Three have been particularly hard hit because of their reliance on SUVs. GM also wants to defend its title as the largest car company in the United States from Toyota. Last month, GM sold 19.4% of the cars in the US and Toyota sold 18.6%. As recently as GM's 2000 its share was 30%.

For has also returned to the incentive game, reprising its popular Employee Pricing program. You get "employee pricing" on all F-Series Trucks.

Chrysler is offering a gas price guarantee of $2.99 for the next three years on any qualifying 2008 or 2009 Chrysler, Dodge or Jeep® vehicle.

Keep all of this in mind as you go in to haggle over the car you want. They want to unload their cars and you can get a good deal.

Both offers ends June 30.

Anybody who bought an American SUV over the last couple of years is a complete fool. Anybody who responds to these offers is especially dumb. These companies are paying the price of their inability to plan for the future or respond to competition for the last 30 years.

I don't think that they can give these cars away with oil prices where they are.

I think GM makes some good cars and now is a great time to take advantage. Why be cynical when a company is giving money back?

I agree with GMer. Not sure why Be a Fool is so cynical. They're giving you money back buddy. Relax. You don't want a GM car - fine. But others will benefit from this and they do have some good cars.a
